Henderson Wholesale is a leading Wholesaler in Northern Ireland and supplies goods to over 450 stores across various brands such as SPAR, EUROSPAR and VIVO. We source from local farmers, growers and producers and are proud to contribute to our local economy and environment.

The Purpose of the role:

We’re looking for someone to deliver logistics training programmes – this may include driver and or warehouse operations training depending on skills and experience.

 

You’ll take a flexible, forward-thinking, and professional approach, ensuring training meets industry standards and supports continuous improvement

 

Working as Logistics Trainer you will:

  • Deliver high-quality training in aligned with industry and company standards.
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate training materials, records, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, legal, and data protection requirements (GDPR).
  • Promote continuous improvement by staying current with industry best practices.
  • Represent the company professionally, supporting strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Contribute to business growth through service excellence and learner outcomes.
  • Support wider business needs and undertake other duties as required.

 

Skills for Success

 

Joining us as Logistics Trainer the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant operational experience in transport, logistics or warehousing.
  • Proficient in IT, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Full, clean UK/EU Driving license

 

The Attributes you’ll need include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent standard of customer care
  • High standard of professional and personal integrity
  • Team player with a flexible approach to work

 

It is Desirable if you have:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ HGV driving experience
  • Experience operating a Forklift Truck and other Mechanical Handling Equipment
  • Recognised training qualification
  • Recognised safety qualification
  • LGV licence Cat C or C+E
  • Accredited trainer status RTITB, ITSSAR, JAUPT
  • Previous experience of delivering driver or operations training (practical/classroom)
  • Knowledge of current transport regulations and best practice

This is a full-time role, averaging 36.5 hours per week across 5 out of 7 days. Flexibility in working hours will be required
