Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

Key Responsibilities will include:
•    Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices. 
•    Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility)
•    Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity. 
•    Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience 
•    Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities
•    Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community
•    You may be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.


What we’re looking for:
•    To be considered for this position you must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) along with previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer-focused environment. 
•    A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members
•    Target driven to help to store achieve their business plans/priorities and be focused on continuous improvement.
•    Be able to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.

Hours of Work: 

  • A full-time position working 37.5 hours per week is available in store.
  • A degree of flexibility across our trading hours (6am-11pm) will be required. 
  • Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to discuss working hours and shift patterns in further detail at Interview.
