Henderson Food Service is the leading supplier to the food service industry in Ireland. We source and supply a range of thousands of products to customers including hotels, restaurants, and public sector organisations such as hospitals and offices.

This role involves working from our Foodservice depot in Newry, delivering frozen food products to the Foodservice sector throughout Northern Ireland.
Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing a superior quality delivery service.
Main duties include:
• Loading and securing of all goods at the depot;
• Ensuring all documentation is correct prior to departing from depot;
• Delivering the goods in first class condition to the agreed location;
• Ensuring the appropriate delivery documentation is signed.
• Collecting and documenting all product returns
• Maintenance of the lorry (including vehicle hygiene plus daily water/oil/fuel checks),
• Cage control and accountability.
The role involves a significant amount of manual handling, specifically pushing, pulling and lifting heavy loads.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Essential Criteria:
• Hold a current LGV Group C licence
• Possess a Driver Qualification Card
• Possess a Digital Tachograph Card
• Have a good knowledge of the Northern Ireland road network
• Able to deliver outstanding Customer Service
Desirable Criteria:
• Relevant driving experience
• Multi-drop delivery experience
• A good knowledge of vehicle refrigeration
• A good knowledge of tail lift operation

Hours and days of work:
The successful applicants will have a core contract of 38 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, Tuesday-Saturday - job to finish and overtime as required. Working on a 6th day every two weeks (Monday) is also a requirement for this role. Start times between 4am and 5am daily and flexibility is required with regards to hours of work.
Earnings potential:
Our Drivers are paid for every hour worked through a performance bonus scheme. After training, you can potentially earn £36k OTE gross upwards per annum.
