The Purpose of the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Stock Controller to oversee and manage our stock inventory.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of inventory management, relevant experience in a similar industry, and proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
The Stock Controller will be responsible for coordinating stock control operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a seamless flow of stock.
 
Working as Stock Controller you will:
•    Coordinate Stock Control Operations: Collaborate with warehouse staff, sales, and trading departments to ensure effective stock management.
•    Inventory Management: Maintain a steady flow of stock from storage to where it is needed, minimising delays and disruptions.
•    Conduct Regular Inventory Checks: Perform frequent inventory audits to verify stock levels and accuracy.
•    Record Keeping: Maintain and update daily records of inventory, including stock movements, adjustments, and discrepancies.
   Utilise WMS: Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory, manage stock movements, and generate reports.
•    Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to stock control procedures and practices, leveraging WMS capabilities.
•    Report Preparation: Generate and analyse inventory reports using WMS, providing insights and recommendations for inventory optimization.
•    Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
•    Coordinate Communications: Manage radio communications between the warehouse team and admin to promptly address stock issues that prevent picking or replenishment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

 
Skills for Success
 
Joining us as Stock Controller the minimum criteria you’ll need is: 
•    A minimum of 5 GCSE’S including Maths and English (or equivalent)
•    A minimum of one years’ experience as a Stock Controller or in a similar role within a logistics environment
•    Experience using Warehouse Management Systems for inventory tracking and management
•    Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook and Excel
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address inventory issues and optimize stock control.  

To ensure compliance with relevant legislation relating to nightshift working, applicants for this campaign must be aged 18 or over.

•    Exceptional organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
 
It is Desirable if you have:
•    A third level qualification in a relevant subject
•    Experience with different WMS platforms and software.

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week. Working hours will be any 4 days, Sunday-Thursday, 18:00pm-04:00am (Job to Finish).
