From acquisition to project management, we provide a specialised end-to-end service, with direct responsibility for Henderson Retail stores, including petrol forecourts, stand-alone outlets, and neighbourhood centres with tenants like Subway and Winemark.

A look into the role
Are you hands-on, detail-focused, and ready to make a real impact on the retail experience? This exciting, field-based role will play a key role in delivering high-quality store transformations across our estate.

In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for delivering planned store projects including the moving, building, and positioning of fixtures and fittings, merchandising stock to planogram, fitting store imagery, and applying signage and window graphics. You’ll work to scale plans and tight deadlines to ensure each store refit or conversion is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external contractors, ensuring a clean, organised, and compliant workspace throughout the project. Your work will directly support store teams and enhance the customer shopping experience, making every visit to our stores feel fresh and inviting.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Implementing store plans and merchandising layouts
•    Fitting POS materials, window graphics, and store branding
•    Ensuring health & safety and food safety compliance
•    Accurate stock handling, shelf-edge labelling, and waste minimisation
•    Building strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

Skills for Success
 
Joining us as Store Developer the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
•    A minimum of one years' experience in a retail environment.
•    Basic, demonstrable knowledge of merchandising within a grocery environment.   
•    A full, valid UK/EU Driving Licence.

It is desirable if you have:
•    Demonstrable experience of shop fitting and merchandising within a food retail environment.
•    Manual Handling training.

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week. Working hours will be 8.15am - 4.45pm (Mon-Thu) and 8.30am - 3.00pm (Fri).

Working as part of our team, you could be working in all parts of the province and expected to complete store refits within given time frames and to tight deadlines so flexibility will be required with this challenging and highly rewarding role.
