Who are we?
At Henderson Group, we are proud to be one of Northern Ireland’s leading family-owned businesses. With more than 6,000 colleagues, our group encompasses Henderson Wholesale, Henderson Retail, Henderson Foodservice and Henderson Group Property.

Working as part of the Henderson Wholesale Fresh Team, you will provide efficient and effective assistance to the various warehouse functions to provide high service to our customers.

A look into the role
If you enjoy variety in your working day, learning new skills and getting stuck into different tasks, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Group Operative within our Fresh Foods Warehouse, you'll play an important role in keeping our operation running smoothly, from receiving deliveries into the warehouse to ensuring products are ready for picking and dispatch. This is a varied, hands-on position where you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across several areas of our operation.
Working within the goods-In operation, you'll be responsible for receiving and unloading supplier deliveries, checking products against delivery documentation and ensuring stock is accurately recorded using handheld RF scanners and our warehouse management system. You'll also carry out checks on product quality, quantities, temperatures and date codes, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods to ensure our high food safety and stock accuracy standards are maintained.

You'll also play a key role in put-away and replenishment activities, using reach trucks to safely move stock into designated warehouse locations, maintain accurate inventory records and ensure picking locations remain fully stocked to support the wider operation.

Beyond goods-in and replenishment, you'll have the opportunity to support our loading operations, including marshalling cages, preparing orders for dispatch and safely loading vehicles using our voice loading system or loading manifests. From time to time, you may also assist with order assembly, picking customer orders using our voice picking technology and ensuring cages are accurately built and secured for delivery.

Working closely with Team Leaders and colleagues across the warehouse, you'll move flexibly between different operational areas depending on the needs of the business, maintaining excellent standards of accuracy, productivity, food safety and health and safety throughout.
